The Mayor's Fund

The Mayor’s Fund is a small grant scheme aimed at supporting local organisations and events that promote and deliver cultural, sporting, heritage and community activities in Pateley Bridge and the surrounding area. The Fund is financed by fundraising events such as the Mayor’s Charity Ball which is usually held in February of each year. The Committee meets four times a year.

Since it started twelve years ago, the Fund has raised over £27,000 for local organisations and clubs. Recent recipients include: the Community Choir, Wilsill Luncheon Club, Nidd Art Trail, Glasshouses Cricket Club, Pateley Bridge Dramatic Society, Darley Playing Fields Association, Walkers and Welcome, Nidderdale Angling Club, Upper Nidderdale Scouts, Friends of Middlesmoor Playground, Nidd Valley Railway Heritage Society, Pateley Bridge Social Club, Dacre Banks Cricket Club, Friends of the Cemetery, Historic Parks & Gardens Study Group, Dacre & Hartwith Village Hall and Pateley Bridge Cricket Club.
