The Town Council is looking to co-opt a new town councillor, so if you would like to make a difference, and be involved in shaping the future of your local community, why not step forward and apply for the vacancy?

The closing date for applications is Tues 31st January 2023.

To qualify to become a Parish Councillor a person must be a British citizen, an eligible Commonwealth citizen, or a citizen of any member state of the EU, and be over 18 years old. In addition, you must meet at least one of the following: 1) be listed on the current electoral role; 2) live in the Parish of High and Low Bishopside or within three miles of its boundary 3) occupy as owner/tenant any land/premises therein or 4) have a principal place of work within the Parish. You must not be disqualified from holding office as a Councillor.
